Scouting beyond the familiar with Garçon Timide
A cross-border scouting session in Belgium, using the street as both meeting place and set.
Go where the people are
Scouting can become repetitive when it stays inside the same rooms and the same social circles. For this session, StyleSociety and Garçon Timide travelled to Belgium to meet new faces and take the search into the street.
The intention was direct: widen the network and create a real connection between emerging talent, the community and the brand.
The city became the set
Storefronts, shutters and night streets shaped the images. Rather than separating scouting from image-making, the encounters developed into portraits that kept the environment present.
The Garçon Timide wardrobe connected different personalities without flattening them into one type. Daylight meetings moved into after-dark group frames, gradually turning individual encounters into a community cast.
Scouting is relationship building
Finding a face is only the beginning. Good scouting also creates clarity, trust and a reason to stay connected after the first photograph. It should make the network more open, not simply make a production look more diverse for one day.
Crossing the border made that idea physical: the StyleSociety community can grow wherever there is talent, curiosity and a willingness to create together.
